My Story

I'm taking part in Ride for Rowcroft - My Way to support Rowcroft Hospice.

I'll be cycling at least 32km EVERYDAY during the month of May to reach a target of 1000km.

I'll be riding whatever the weather, with no rest days, and (somehow) fitting it all in around a full-time job and existing daily commitments to my young family. This will challenge both my physical endurance and mental stamina, but is a small sacrifice to make to raise vital funds to enable Rowcroft to support patients with life limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, across Torbay and South Devon.

As well as the care provided at the inpatient unit located in Torquay, Rowcroft's Hospice at Home team provides end-of-life care to people in their own homes across South Devon free of charge. Their nurses and healthcare assistants help patients through some of the hardest days imaginable, enabling families to make the most of every last moment together.  Read more about the hospice here: https://rowcrofthospice.org.uk/about-us/

As a charity, Rowcroft's income has been hit badly by the pandemic, so the support of our community is more important than ever in helping to fund this essential care.

Please consider sponsoring me in this challenge. Every £ really does have an impact and will help Rowcroft meet the increasing demands on its services as a result of the pandemic and increasingly ageing population.
